Classic Corvettes - Antique Classis Autos

It was in 1953 when Harly Earl who was a sport car enthusiast was hired by general motors to build by his own idea a sports car for general motors, this first corvette was a car that was first presented at that year’s Motorama show, and at first, the original corvette had the American flag painted on its body, however, for mass producing, the car was changed and had the paint of the flag no more. An interesting fact about these first antique classic cars, the corvettes is that these cars where mainly hand built and the body was made of a revolutionary material in that time called fiber glass. These classic corvettes where amazingly well made cars, however, there were a few flaws to this car that needed to be corrected, for example, classic corvettes did not have a proper break system, which would make it quite difficult for these cars to come to a complete stop, also, these classic corvettes where sort of beat in speed by European made sport cars.

The sales for classic corvettes back in the day, scientifically went down, and something had to be done, because GM was seriously thinking about soothing down the productions of these classic corvettes, and it looked like that was inevitable, if it wasn’t for two grand events, first, the out coming of the classic corvettes with a v8 engine, and also the influence of one of the workers of the factory, who thought that the v8 engine of this corvettes, could be benefited by the aid of a manual 3 gear transmission, which became one of the greatest inventions for cars, and that along with making these corvettes into two seat convertible cars, made of this piece of great machinery a success in sales for General Motors, and the corvette was never again dismissed and until today, there are still corvettes being made and are part of a huge production, which in time will become to be classic corvettes as well.

Classic corvettes are incredible cars that are now a part of any autos collector enthusiasts showroom, these cars have proven to be magnificent racing machines that are now considered pieces of the General Motors history, in other words, these are cars that have stand the test of time and are now much more than just pieces to remember, these cars helped shape the history of mankind and the way Americans drive themselves, giving out an opportunity for each and everyone to have an incredible machine that has made it possible for anyone to have the best car in performance and power ever.
